The current code creates the new tables and leaves the old tables as well, allowing for simplified testing against old functionality.

There will, however, be changes as a result of the new schema. The one I'm primarily aware of right now is that instead of a rather arbitrary ordering of returned followers/followings based on an id, the APIs will now return them in alphabetical ordering.
