Update cached dgpo only when we re sure newer data is given

No side effects without this were noticed, but this will ensure newest
dgpo is stored when multiple calls were done from multiple tasks or
in a situation when no basic info yet (is None), so fetch is ongoing but meanwhile
update_gdpo get called.
