The command `dump-snapshot` should exclusively dump data, without later synchronization
Now when the command dump-snapshot
is executed, a node starts synchronization a while later and in fact a state for this node is different from dump state. It's impossible to execute the same dumping again, because new blocks appeared. Besides the command dump-snapshot
is misleading, an user doesn't know if the dump is at the beginning( when a node starts ) or at the end( when a node closes ).
The proposal: after dump-snapshot
command
- a) a node always closes
- b) introducing new switch something like
exit-after-replay
, f.e.exit-after-dump
